International Customs Day 2020

Date: 20/01/2020

To celebrate the International Customs Day 2020, the Hong Kong Customs held a reception at their headquarters on 20 January, where the Financial Secretary, Mr Paul Chan, was the officiating guest. Intermediate 3A of the Hong Kong Children’s Choir was invited to deliver an authentic performance in collaboration with local sand painting artist Hoi Chiu to kick-off the reception. Members sang with pure voices the song Sail On (《同舟之情》), while the live sand painting of customs officers working in the Victoria Harbour was projected onto the screen on stage. Also depicted in the painting was a pair of tightly held hands, symbolising the creation of a brighter future for Hong Kong as described by the song’s lyrics. The perfect synchronisation of the singing and painting impressed the audience and drew enthusiastic applause from the guests.
