Invited by Women’s Welfare Club Western District Hong Kong, HKCC attended Variety Show in Celebration of the 69th Anniversary of the Founding of the People’s Republic of China and 21st Anniversary of Hong Kong’s Return to China and Praise for Elderly Parents on 17 July in Sunbeam Theatre.

Professor Sophia Chan Siu-chee, JP, Secretary for Food and Health, Dr Elsie Leung Oi-sie, GBM, JP, Mr Li Kai-gang, officer of the LOCPG and Mr Daniel Kwan, Sponsor and Honorary Life President officiated at the event. After the prize-giving and cheque donation ceremony, members of Junior 2O and Intermediate 2K brought choral performance to the elderly. The choir presented 3 songs in total, including joyful My Happy Family and Love of Parents by the pop singer Sam Hui; as members sang Edelweiss, secret guest Joe Junior appeared on stage to sing along with the children, bringing the performance to an end.
