As a diversified arts organisation for children, The Hong Kong Children's Choir (HKCC) offers five distinct learning programmes for children with different artistic aspirations and interests, including Choral Programme, Dance Programme, Instrumental Programme, Putonghau Programme and Intelligence-Emotion-Creativity (IEC) Programme. Due to the varying teaching progress and the needs of individual programmes, each programme has its designated admission period and procedures as follows:
- There are generally three stages in the Choral Programme: from understanding the basic components in singing to build up a solid foundation; to focus on listening and sight-singing training; ultimately to emphasize on professional choral techniques.
Percussion Class provides traditional Western percussion training. Members can learn the fundamental knowledge of music and performing arts, at the same time to develop a good sense of rhythm.
Open for application once a year in August. Interviews are usually held on weekends in late September to early October. Classes begin in January the next year for the successful applicants.

♫ Instrumental Programme IntroductionNext ApplicationAugust 2025 - Dance Programme incorporates dances of different styles, including Chinese Dance, Ballet, Tap, Jazz and Hip Hop, to teach members to express their emotions through body movements in an artistic way.
Handbell Class aims to enhance member's fundamental skills of music such as coordination, sense of rhythm and ability to listen.
There are five levels in the Putonghua Programme, which allows members to learn accurate phonics, correct usage of words and verbal communication skills of Putonghua steadily.
Open for application twice a year in February and August. For July Intake's application, interviews are usually held on the weekends in late March to early April. Classes begin in July the same year for the successful applicants. For January Intake's application, interviews are usually held on the weekends in late September to early October. Classes begin in January the next year for the successful applicants.

♫ Putonghua Programme IntroductionNext ApplicationFebruary 2025 - IEC (Intelligence-Emotion-Creativity) Programme aims to develop toddlers and young children's diversified artistic talents through interactive games and inspiring activities.
Open for application twice a year in May and November. No interview is required, a computer draw will be conducted to determine the successful applicants.
For July Intake's application, classes begin in July the same year for the successful applicants. For January Intake's application, classes begin in January the next year for the successful applicants.

- Visit West Kowloon Centre or Homantin Centre during office hours;
- Visit HSS, CCS or TKO Centres on Saturday 2 to 5pm (Except for IEC Programme) (CCS Centre will be closed from 20 July to 7 September).
How to apply
Application via Fax and Email will not be accepted. Kindly fill in the application form and hand it in with the copy of the identification documents as well as a cheque for the application fees, and
- Send by post to West Kowloon Centre Address: Member Affairs, The Hong Kong Children's Choir, 1/F, 1 Larch Street, Tai Kok Tsui, Kowloon. (Except for IEC Programme);
- Visit West Kowloon Centre or Homantin Centre during office hours to apply in person;
- Visit HSS, CCS or TKO Centres on Saturday 2 to 5pm to apply in person (Except for IEC Programme) (CCS Centre will be closed from 20 July to 7 September).
