Chimelong Ocean Kingdom “Ocean International Music Season”

The Hong Kong Children's Choir (HKCC) was invited to participate in the Chimelong "Ocean International Music Season" in Zhuhai. Members from Harmonica Classes H2A and H3A and Senior A choir took the stage respectively, adding highlights to the music season.
On 9 May, Harmonica members performed under the baton of Conductor Gordon Lee and Accompanist Nancy Lau. They performed a number of classic pieces on the harmonica in front of the Grand Aquarium of Whale Universe in Spaceship Park and the Ocean Outdoor Theatre of Chimelong Ocean Kingdom respectively. Coinciding with Mother’s Day, the members specially presented Parent’s Grace, and also performed well-known works such as Student Song and Laughter in the Vast Sea. This performance was an exciting milestone for our harmonica members marking their first performance outside Hong Kong.
On 30 May, Senior A members had 2 performances at the Ocean Outdoor Theatre of Chimelong Ocean Kingdom under the leadership of Music Director Kathy Fok, Conductor Alex Tam and Accompanist Patience Fung. The performances featured a selection of works in a variety of styles, including pieces by local composers Alex Tam and Ng Cheuk Yin. Adding to the visual appeal, selected pieces such as My Dream, and The Gift to Sing were enhanced with lively choreography.
HKCC members demonstrated the diverse aspects of music, bringing a pleasant and unforgettable theme park experience to the on-site audience!
