Disney Christmas Live in Concert!

"Disney Christmas Live in Concert!" 2023 concluded at the Castle of Magical Dreams with a resounding success. The Disneyland performers teamed up with The Hong Kong Children's Choir (HKCC) and local singers Jason Chan and Phil Lam to take the audience on a Disney musical Christmas journey on 2, 3, 9 and 10 December.

The journey unfolded with a heartfelt family story seen through the eyes of an avid piano player – a young child who has received a special gift from her grandmother. Through the processional pieces Christmas Is and Christmas is Nearly Here, audience were transported to the Disney's wonderful worlds, where stories including Peter Pan, Beauty and the Beast, Frozen and Encanto were staged.

The enchanting musical nights culminated in fireworks. HKCC Concert Choir and members from Senior A were joined by Mickey and Minnie and full casts to share with the audience their best wishes through three Christmas songs: Home for the Holidays, We Wish You a Merry Christmas, and Christmas Is Here.

The success would not have been possible without the hard work by different parties. HKCC Concert Choir and members from Senior A had a recording session with the renowned music producer Chiu Tsang-hei, while the production team and all Disney's casts held overnight technical rehearsals over a few days and completed the final rehearsal with HKCC's members at midnight. Disney Parks Senior Vice President of Operations, Tim Sypko, and Executive Director, Entertainment & Costuming, Alex Clifton, came to meet HKCC's members in-person and congratulated the great success after the performances.
