HKCC "A Practical Guide to Choral Performance on the Theme of Festival” Workshop

Date: 08/02/2026

  • Over the past two Sundays (February 1 and 8, 2026), teachers from kindergartens to primary schools, as well as chorus and music class tutors, gathered at the West Kowloon Centre Recital Hall to participate in The Hong Kong Children's Choir (HKCC) Tutor Workshop, "A Practical Guide to Choral Performance on the Theme of Festival”.

The workshop was led by guest tutor Dr. Sarah Lee, who specializes in Children's Music Education at The Education University of Hong Kong and is also an HKCC alumna. Centering on the three festival themes of Father’s Day, Mother’s Day and Easter, and combining her own teaching experience, Sarah comprehensively helped teachers enhance the professionalism and appeal of children’s festive choral performances through selecting and adapting songs, designing teaching processes, to arranging dialogues and movements, as well as games and group discussion.

The participating tutors learned from each other, filling the Recital Hall with a strong learning atmosphere and positive interactive enthusiasm.
