Variety Show: Welcoming of the China Manned Space Delegation

At the invitation of Home Affairs Department, The Hong Kong Children's Choir (HKCC) performed in the variety show welcoming the China Manned Space Delegation at Hong Kong Coliseum on 29 November.
The variety show was officiated by Chief Executive Mr John Lee, Director of the Liaison Office of the Central People's Government in the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Mr Zheng Yanxiong, delegation leader Mr Lin Xiqiang, astronauts Mr Liu Boming, Ms Wang Yaping, Mr Chen Dong and Mr Zhang Lu, Chief Secretary for Administration Mr Chan Kwok-ki and Secretary for Home and Youth Affairs Miss Alice Mak. Members of HKCC Intermediate level and the Hong Kong Police Force Band performed at the opening ceremony.
Alongside the performance, documentaries looking back at China's development and remarkable achievements in manned space programme over the past 30 years were screened. Led by conductor Anders Hui and pianist Niu Niu (Zhang Shengliang), members of Intermediate 3H performed A Millions Dreams with singers Oscar Tao and Janees Wong to extend their best wishes for the delegation members.
Many secondary school students, parents and children attended the variety show and applauded the performance. HKCC shared with general public the joy of witnessing China's success in its aerospace endeavours. At the end of the performance, all performers sang to wish China's aerospace development an even brighter future.
