Welcome Dinner for the Session of the Codex Alimentarius Commission

The Hong Kong Children’s Choir (HKCC) was invited by the HKSAR Government to perform in the welcome dinner for the 53rd Session of the Codex Committee on Food Additives (CCFA) on 27 March at the Regala Skycity Hotel. The Codex Alimentarius Commission was jointly established by the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations and the World Health Organization. This year marks the 60th anniversary of the Codex Alimentarius Commission, and it is the second time for the meeting to be held in Hong Kong since China became the host country of the CCFA.
Vice Minister of the National Health Commission Mr Lei Haichao, the Director of Food and Environmental Hygiene Department of the HKSAR Ms Irene Young as well as representatives from 51 member countries, one member organisation and 25 international organisations were invited to the welcome dinner and enjoyed performances and lion dance in the banquet, where HKCC Intermediate 3B presented two songs, Let Music Flow and Welcome, to extend our sincere greetings to all visiting guests.
