Date: 05/11/2025

The Hong Kong Children's Choir (HKCC) was invited to perform in the “2025 CASH Annual Dinner and Golden Sail Music Awards Presentation”, held at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre Convention Hall on November 5. The awards presentation was a star-studded event, with over 800 guests in attendance, including music industry professionals and local leaders.
Led by guest conductor Viola Yuen, accompanist Kenneth Lau and tutor Kelvin Lau, members of Intermediate 3A performed “Hope”, a positive and uplifting piece composed by Law Wing Fai, the recipient of “2025 CASH Hall of Fame Award”, with lyrics by Cheng Kwok Kong. In the presence of both masters, the members conveyed the positive energy and warmth embedded in the song, paying tribute to their remarkable contributions to Hong Kong’s music development. The performance was met with enthusiastic applause from the audience.
Beyond showcasing the talent of HKCC’s current young members, this occasion also served as a meaningful HKCC alumni reunion, reflecting HKCC’s enduring legacy of nurturing outstanding artists over the years.
Ten awards were presented during the ceremony to honor musicians who have made outstanding contributions to local music creation over the past year. The ceremony also featured other exciting performances, such as The Glory of the Lotus Seat, another work composed by Law Wing Fai performed collaboratively by soprano Margret Yim and cellist Wendy Law. DidaBoy, principal Suona of the Hong Kong Chinese Orchestra, together with the Jazzclectic band performed the top five nominated works for the "CASH Best Song Award". Congratulations to all the winners of the night!
